These workshops have been specially created for independent producers and artists that have registered shows at 2017 Perth Fringe World, 2017 Adelaide Fringe and 2017 Melbourne International Comedy Festivals.

INDEPENDENT PRODUCER WORKSHOP

Saturday 19 November 9am – 11am at The Mill, 154 Angas St, Adelaide

Have you recently registered your show at one of the major fringe festivals coming up and thought… now what? Would you like to be ahead of the game and get skilled up in how to produce your show better?

Show registrations can be stressful, it seems like a long way from your first opening night but don’t let time fool you! Here is the secret tip, it’s the work you do NOW that will put your best foot forward in creating a more successful season.

This two-hour workshop will show you methods on how to prepare, organisational tips and tricks and professional advice in producing your festival season.

We’ll breakdown the building blocks of producing within a festival context, get you excited about budgeting – oh yes it can be done, look at marketing strategies for 2017 and how to master getting more bums on seats.

This five hour workshop is designed for artists who self-produce their work and for independent producers who produce work for others.

This is a ‘doing’ workshop so be prepared to roll up your sleeves and get into it. You will walk away with a clear plan and guide of how to produce your next show to be bigger and better than ever!

SOCIAL MEDIA FOR ARTISTS WORKSHOP

Sunday 20 November 9am – 12pm at The Mill, 154 Angas St, Adelaide

Does social media sometimes feel like a drag and just another thing you need to do as an artist? Well, here’s the rub. Social media ain’t going away, it’s here to stay, it’s something you need to embrace as an artist, so the sooner the better.
